İSTANBUL (İHA) - The Turkish central bank Friday boosted market liquidity by selling 2 billion Turkish lira ($1.3 billion) in a repurchase agreement auction of up to three months' maturity.

Bids totaled TRY5.005 billion. The average simple interest rate was 7.77% and the average compound rate was 8.00%.

The repo will mature October 15.

At the last three-month repo, held June 18, the central bank sold TRY2 billion at an average simple interest rate of 7.82%.
