İSTANBUL (İHA) - Foreign direct-investment inflows to Turkey fell 35% year-on-year in May, to $303 million, the Turkish Treasury said Tuesday.

In the corresponding month of 2009, foreign direct-investment inflows amounted to $466 million.

In the first five months of the year, FDI inflows to the country fell 33.6% year-on-year to $2.562 billion from $3.861 billion in 2009, data on the treasury website showed.

FDI inflows to Turkey in 2009 fell 58.4% to $7.6 billion from $18.2 billion a year earlier.
