TURKEY'S HALKBANK SECURES ONE-YEAR SYNDICATED LOAN

İSTANBUL (İHA) - Turkey's state-run Turkiye Halk Bankasi AS (HALKB.IS), or Halkbank, said late Thursday it secured a one-year syndicated loan from 27 banks from 12 countries.

In a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange the bank said the loan comprises two tranches, one of $130 million and another of EUR349 million.

The loan will be used for the financing of foreign trade, it said. The cost of each tranche was libor +1.5% and euribor +1.5%, respectively.
