TURKISH AGENCY: 39 BIDS RECEIVED FOR POWER GRID TENDERS

İSTANBUL (İHA) - Turkey's privatization agency OIB said Friday 39 bids have been received for the privatization tender of four state-owned power distribution grids.

The grids are Bogazici, Trakya and Gediz which are operational in western Turkey, and Dicle grid, located in the southeast of the country.

In a statement, OIB said it has received 10 bids for Bogazici grid, nine bids for Dicle grid, 10 bids for Gediz grid and 10 bids for Trakya grid.

According to OIB's statement, the bidders include electricity generator and energy company Aksa Elektrik Perakende Satis A.S. and construction firm Limak Insaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., which has applied for all four of the power grids.

Turkish unlisted conglomerate Park Holding AS has applied for the Bogazici, Gediz and Trakya grids.

Enerjisa, a partnership between Austrian utility Verbund AG (VER.VI) and Turkey's Haci Omer Sabanci Holding AS (SAHOL.IS), has applied for Bogazici and Gediz grids.

Energy firm Calik Enerji has only applied for Dicle grid.

OIB previously said 68 firms have applied for pre-qualification in the tenders of the four power distribution grids and 67 firms have met the pre-qualification criteria to bid in the tenders.

The deadline for the pre-qualification applications was May 4. The deadline for the bids was July 22.
