- Turkish June Consumer Confidence Rises To 88.04
ISTANBUL (IHA) - A key index of Turkish consumer confidence rose to 88.04 points in June from 86.58 in May, a survey conducted by the Turkish Statistics Institute and the country's central bank showed Friday.
The index, which measures consumers' spending behavior and expectations, stood at 85.27 in June 2009.
The rise in the index mainly stemmed from an improved outlook among consumers on the economy, job opportunities and purchasing power, the survey showed.
