- World Bank Signs $500M Loan Deal With Turkish Banks

ISTANBUL (IHA) - The World Bank has signed loan deals worth $500 million with banks in Turkey for the financing of a small and medium-size company project, the Turkish treasury said Tuesday.

In a statement, the treasury said the World Bank has signed a $100 million loan deal with state development bank Turkiye Kalkinma Bankas1 AS, a $200 million loan deal with Turkish state-owned lender Ziraat Bankasi and a $200 million loan deal with public lender Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (VAKBN.IS).

The loans will be used to finance the investment, working capital and leasing needs of small and medium-sized enterprises.
